In Quiet Resting Places by Daniel Gawthrop

To a Village Called Emmaus by Ethan Wickman

As a fitting end to our season, AFCO brings you two stories of hope, comfort, and peace.  Daniel Gawthrop’s “In Quiet Resting Places” takes its inspiration from the book of Genesis and embraces the preservation of nature's beauties.  This melodic, lyrical choral work is built around a spiritual view of the environment.  After its stunning debut in 2018, Ethan Wickman and Glen Nelson’s oratorio, “To a Village Called Emmaus” returns to Logan.  Commissioned by AFCO, the work tells the compelling story of events in the week after Christ’s resurrection.
